C&A was formed in 1996 by John Pollentier, whose actual purpose was to create alternative music. That path drastically changed when Kris Vandekerckhove joined on bass. Inspiration was taken from the ultra heavy riffs of Black Sabbath, and those were completed by ultra swinging rhythm guitars
