Totta puhuen, matkan puoli välissä poika huomasi jarrujen olevan rikki, mutta ei halunnut tytön tietävän asiasta. Lisäksi hän käski tytön laittavan kypärän päähän, jotta tyttö jäisi eloon vaikka tämä merkitsi pojalle kuolemaa.
