Make sure you have read the general Setting up page first.

Checkout the links above for finding your EDIS parts and the hardware side of things.

Having installed Megatune you now need to setup the firmware into EDIS mode.

Connect your computer to your megasquirt and turn on. Start up Megatune and you will see the project window.

This allows you to tune a number of different cars from one computer - each can have its own files and saved settings. Unless you know otherwise, just choose car1.

You should now see the Megatune main screen

Check that you see CONNECTED bottom right and something on the gauges. If they are all in red and nothing showing STOP HERE and fix your communication problem.

Pull down the Code Config menu and select Codebase and outputs function
To setup as "classic" EDIS mode compatible with MSnE3005/3007/3008 you should set it like this:

i.e. set the mode to EDIS only, all others should be Off. Set FIDLE as spark output and others to their standard functions.

Choice - if you want to keep your fast idle solenoid control, you can choose to take the spark output (SAW) from LED17 instead.

Whatever you change, be sure to Send to ECU

CRITICAL - NOW TURN THE MS OFF THEN ON

Next, open up the Spark menu and choose Spark Settings
Shown here are settings required for current wiring

ie. Spark Output Inverted = Yes, Trigger Angle = 0
NB. if you are an old user and used the old "EDIS4" wiring back in 2003 with the early MegasquirtnEDIS firmware then set the Trigger Angle to 23 degrees.

Next go to the Constants on Fuel Tables 1 + 3 menu and continue to configure as standard Megasquirt.
