Varastettu auto koitui nuorukaisen kohtaloksi.

Parkanolaisen autovarkaan ryöstöreissu päättyi traagisesti kello kolmen aikoihin keskiviikon vastaisena yönä Parkanossa, kun nuorukainen lensi auton sivuikkunan läpi ja jäi kaatuvan autonsa alle. Hän menehtyi oletettavasti välittömästi.

Lehden tietojen mukaan nuorukainen oli varastanut kohtalokkaan ajoneuvon parkanolaisesta Mercedes Benz -autoliikkeestä yhdessä polvijärveläisen, 30-vuotiaan miehen kanssa.

Miesten pakomatka päättyi Satakunnankadulla, kun huomattavaa ylinopeutta kaasutellut 17-vuotias menetti ajoneuvon hallinnan ja auto pyörähti jalkakäytävän yli katolleen. Auton ilmalennon aikana nuorukainen lensi läpi sivuikkunasta ja jäi suoraan autonsa alle. Etupenkillä turvavöissä istunut rikostoveri säilyi vammoitta, mutta joutui nopeasti poliisin huostaan.
