Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoululle jo toisen kerran opetusministeriön tuloksellisuusrahaa

Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoulu sai toisena vuonna peräkkäin opetusministeriön tuloksellisuusrahaa. Molemmilla kerroilla Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoulu on saanut 100 000 euroa koulutuksen vetovoima ja opintojen eteneminen -osiosta. Kajaanin lisäksi Lahden ammattikorkeakoulu palkittiin nyt samasta asiasta.

- Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoulun menestys perustuu koko henkilökunnan motivoituneeseen työskentelyyn opiskelijoiden hyväksi. Kajaanin ammattikorkeakoulussa opiskelijoiden opinnot etenevät erinomaisesti ja keskeyttäminen on saatu pienentymään oleellisesti. Opiskelijoiden ohjaus, jossa ollaan Suomen parhaita, on luonut tämän menestyksen, rehtori Arto Karjalainen kommentoi asiaa.

Opetusministeriö on myöntänyt ammattikorkeakouluille 1,1 miljoonaa euroa tuloksellisuusrahaa. Vuoden 2007 toiminnan perusteella jaettava tuloksellisuusraha myönnettiin yleisten kriteerien perusteella.
Tuloksellisuusrahoissa on käytetty jakoperusteena seuraavia mittareita: opetuksen ja opetusmenetelmien kehittyminen, koulutuksen vetovoima ja opintojen eteneminen, tutkimus- ja kehitystyö sekä aluevaikuttavuus ja työelämäyhteistyö. Lisäksi opetusministeriö on arvioinut ammattikorkeakoulujen toiminta- ja uusiutumiskykyä. Tuloksellisuutta on arvioitu sekä suhteessa muihin ammattikorkeakouluihin että ammattikorkeakoulun omaan kehitykseen aikaisempaan verrattuna.
