Not all evil

Agatha stood in the water, ankles deep. She didnÂ’t care if her expensive dress was ruined, she didnÂ’t care what people thought. She kept her eyes on the horizon, wishing for a ship to come. Her heart was torn in two, because no matter what ship sailed home, she would lose someone dear to her.

Finally she saw sails in the horizon, black sails. Her feet gave away and she dropped to her knees, tears streaming down her face. She had trouble breathing. Her world was spinning. She didnÂ’t know how long she had been there when she felt gentle hand touch her shoulder.

Agatha looked up and met the eyes of her brother. The usually warm eyes were sad, filled with regret, begging for her to understand, to forgive. She took his hand and he helped her up.

“Did you bring his body?” her small voice was filled with despair, but she understood and she forgave. The both men knew that when they had left. She would love them as she always had and she would forgive.

“Yes.” The answer was simple. Her brother might be a pirate, but he was a good man.

“May I see him?” she needed to see him. She needed to touch the face of the man she loved, the face that she had caressed so many times before.

“My men are bringing him out now.” he said pointing towards the direction of the Black Pearl.

“Thank you Jack.” she whispered and ran towards the group that carried something heavy.

When the buccaneer crew saw the Lady Beckett rushing towards them, they stopped and placed their cargo gently to the ground. They might have hated him, but they liked and respected his wife. The men stood silently around the dead man.

Finally Agatha reached them. She let out a scream that shattered many hearts. They had never heard anything so desperate before. She dropped to her knees beside the dead man. Her tears ran freely as she gathered him to her arms and hugged his body tight. The men turned away for they could not bear seeing such sadness and grief.

Even Barbossa wiped away tears when he heard her whisper. “I love you Cutler.”
