Left on Friday morning to Helsinki with my usual 10:35 flight, which arrives at 14:15. Mel again arrived at the same time with the flight form Zürich via Berlin.
Picked up the rental car and then got on the road to *cough* Turku *cough*. :-D Arrived there at around 6 p.m. and checked in at Omena Hotelli.
Spent some time there, using the wireless net and watching TV, while getting ready to leave to see ETOS and Falchion.
Since Falchion played at 11 p.m., we got some food before the gig. We nearly got lost on our way to the venue but finally we managed it (thanx to my good sense of orientation!) right on time.
Falchion were actually pretty good, they maybe sound a bit too much like Ensiferum but anyway Juho surprised us with amazing guitar skills and his vocals were also pretty good. This is defentely the thing for him and hopefully we get to hear more from Falchion in the future!
After that ETOS had their turn. I was really looking forward to see them live since they are one of my favourite bands. Well I have to admit they were not as good as expected. They were still okay but nothing special.
Well the evening in total was kind of weird... Mel and I were actually way too sober and everyone else was probably way too wasted. Well I was not that sober but still not drunk enough. It sucked. Mel also got a head ache then so we left quite early and went straight to the hotel and to bed.
Next day we left as soon as possible back to Helsinki! :-)
We met Konsta because he still had our tickets for Naapurivisa. Actually we were a bit stressed at this point (surprise, surprise!!) since it was already 14:30 and we had to return the car on the airport at 15:00 but we also wanted to go to the hotel first to leave our baggage there.
Well finally we were at the airport at 15:20 or something but I guess it was still okay.
Back in town we decided to check out the new Subway in Vallila. Back to the hotel then to relax.
Naapurivisa took place at Nosturi. We arrived right on time to see Metsatöll. Amazing like usually!!! I just love them live! Okay, it was nothing compared to the show we saw in Tallinn but still amazing! Can´t wait to see them again!
After Metsatöll, Viikate was playing but honestly they were really boring so we decided to leave to meet with Liina at Inferno Bar. It was defentely a nice evening, even if we again were just to sober! Voi vittu, no idea why, we drank and drank but without any results... Well at least no hangover the next day! We left when the bar closed at 03.30 or was it 04.04 (??? can´t remember) and Mel and I queued for a taxi. Took us really long and we were really pissed because we were fucking freezing. Guess I never was so glad to be at the hotel in my warm bed!
Sunday morning Mel was the first to leave since her flight left at 10:15. I slept quite long because I had no motivation to do anything so I got to the airport quite early and had some lunch there before my flight left at 14:55.

So what did I learn this time? I don´t like finnish men if they are drunk, emotions can´t be controlled and sometimes you can drink as much as you want and you don´t get drunk... Ah, and I know why no one likes Turku! ;-)

Yesterday I finally saw my dear and close friend Kessy again, which spent almost 7 months travelling through South America! She came back already last week but we saw each other just yesterday! She came back with her boyfriend who is from Australia, she met him on her journey. He seems to be a really nice guy and both of them seem to be very happy!
I actually didn`t realize that I missed her that much, but now that I saw her again! It´s good to know that she is more or less reachable again now!

HAHA and today... I was convinced that I have to work from 9-18. So I got up at 06.30 and went to work. At 09:50 I actually wanted to check when I have my first break and vittu, I was shocked when I read at the White Board that I have a shift from 13-22!!! LOOL So I went home at 10 and came back then at 14 and now I still have 2 hours left... sucks a lot... well, shit happens... My life is actually getting more and more fucked up anyway... :-O

So now back to work and back to figuring out how to get home from Ragnarök Festival and I still try to figure out if I somehow can manage to get to Graspop Festival (this seems like my biggest quest so far!).
