Jotenkin vaikea saada unta mielessä pyörii vaan iso kasa muistoja.
Heräsin tänä aamuna kun äiti tuli herättämään. Isoisä on nukkunu pois.
Ekana ei oikein mitenkään osannu asiaan regoida mutta siinä kun
sitten käytiin sairaalassa katsomassa alkoi asian todellinen puoli
näyttää surullisia kasvojaan.

En ensin ollut oikein varma että haluanko edes nähdä kun toinen
makaan edesmenneenä vuoteellaan mutta siinä kun muut suvusta
oli tullu pois huoneesta päätin että jos ei nyt niin ei enää koskaan.
Siinä vieressä ollessa toivoi vain että pappa olis avannu silmänsä
ja kysynyt miten auto toimii tai mitä olen töissä puuhaillut.
Mutta ei..huoneessa oli hiljaista. Itsekkään en saanut mitään
sanaa suusta jättäessäni hiljaisia hyvästejä vaikka paljon
olikin jääny aikoinaan sanomatta.

Mielessä pyöri vaan miten päivää aiemmin oltiin suunniteltu
että yllätetään mamma tuomalla pappa kotiin jouluksi.
Nyt ajatus joulusta tuntuu mahdottomalta.

Pappa oli mulle enemmän isä kuin mitä oikea isäni
joka ei koskaan ollut paikalla.
Muistan vieläkin kun olin pieni ja ruvettiin saunaa
lämmittämään sain pappalta pienen kirveen jolla sitten
pilkkosin sauna puita. Mulla oli kans oma pieni saha ja vasara.
Pappa otti mut aina mukaan kun meni tekemään hommia.
Ollaan tehty monet piipun hatut ja räystäät.
Kerran jopa kokonainen autotallin katto pellistä,
auto hommia unohtamatta.
Taisi olla juurikin isoisä joka opetti mulle aikoinaan renkaiden
vaihdon ja miten korjataan jarruja.
Hän myöskin opetti mulle paljon pelti-, puu- ja maalaustöitä.

Muistan kun olin ihan pieni käytiin joulun jälkeen pappan
kanssa kaupassa ja se osti mulle mun ekat ilotulitteet
totta kai äidiltä ja isoäidiltä salaa.
Pelattiin myös monesti jalkapalloa pihalla ja talvella
tehtiin yhdessä lumihommia. Mulla oli oma pieni lumikola.
Hän myös opetti mut ajamaan nurmikkoa ja käyttiin monesti
kalassa joskin saalis jäi melkein aina vähäiseksi.
Monien tuttujen mökeillä olen pappan kanssa käyny soutelemassa
ja pelamassa krokettia tai tikkaa.
Voispa taas istahtaa vaan pöytään ja ottaa pelikortit esiin.
Pelata maijaa tai rommia joita aina pelattiin isolla porukalla.

Eniten varmaan harmittaa ettei pappa koskaan päässyt näkemään
kun lapsen lapsi menee naimisiin.
Häätkin oli jo tiedossa kun serkku ilmoitti lauantaina
että ne menee vihdoinkin naimisiin kesällä.
En saa pois mielestäni serkun surullisia kasvoja sairaalassa.

Iso vanhempien luo oli aina helppo mennä.
Siellä sai aina ruokaa ja sai jäädä myös yöksi jos tahtoi.
Autoakin lainattiin jos oli tarvis ja saunan sai lämmittää.
