Totta puhuen, matkan puoli välissä poika huomasi jarrujen olevan rikki, mutta ei halunnut tytön tietävän asiasta. Sen sijaan hän pyysi tyttöä sanomaan että tämä rakastaa häntä ja halaamaan tätä viimeistä kertaa. Lisäksi hän käski tytön laittavan kypärän päähän, jotta tyttö jäisi eloon vaikka tämä merkitsi pojalle kuolemaa.
