Aamulla oltiin Amiran kanssa Vuolakkeen kohdalla menossa kohti päiväkotia kun tajusin että oltiin tuntia liian aikaisin liikeellä. Joten ei kun takasin kotiin. Sitten lähdettiin kotoa oikeaan aikaan jälleen kohti päiväkotia niin onnistuin myöhästymään bussista, olin sitten tunnin myöhässä koulusta. Kouluun päästyäni kippasin kahvit kaverin päälle ja uitin helmiäni samaisessa kahvikupissa.. Huh, mikä päivä!

Kello ei ole vielä edes kahta. Bussi lähtee vasta 45 minuutin kuluttua joten käyn istumaan. Sisällä on lämmintä, ihmisiä tulee ja menee, kiiruhtavat omia menojaan. Aika kuluu hyvin kun istuu ja katselee ihmisiä. Hiljalleen alan tuntea itseni katonrajassa leijailevaksi hahtuvaksi joka katselee tutkivasti ympärilleen pohtien ihmisten erilaisia elämiä.

Poika armeijan vihreissä istuu vastapäisellä penkillä selkä suorana, selkeästi jo syvälle juurtuneena tapana, sellaisena joka opitaan armeijassa. Eri ikäisiä koululaisia ja opiskelijoita kulkee ohitseni, varmastikin matkalla kotiaan kohti, odottaen innolla pian alkavaa syyslomaa.

Aah, tuoksuu mandariinille. Kuulen kuinka joku takanani irrottaa palasia toisistaan sitten syöden ne. Ajattelen joulua. Jostain syystä tuo tuoksu tuo elävänä mieleeni Lontoon ruuhkaiset asemahallit. Voin melkein tuntea tuon kaupungin elämän kiireisen ja huolettoman sykkeen. Mieleni tekee koskettaa tuota mielikuvaa ja tunnen sydämessäni pistävän kaipuun piikin. Ikävöin sitä huolettomuutta, sen elämän tunnetta ja tuoksua. Tuo kaipuu saa minut haluamaan nousta ylös, lähteä ja lentää sinne ja sitten kadota sen ajattomaan massaan.

Matkalaukkujen muovisten pyörien tasainen rullaava kolina rikkoo mielikuvani kuin saippuakuplan. Tunnen sen pienten pisaroiden satavan päälleni ja sitten haihtuvan kuten tuon jo eletyn ajan. Nuo kolisevat matkalaukkujen pyörät kuuluvat kahden hyvin pukeutuneen naisen laukkuihin. Pohdin ovatko he kenties lähdössä etelän lämpöön, pois täältä syksystä ja sateesta. Tai ehkä ruotsinlaivalle viettämään rentouttavaa ystävysten hauskanpitoviikonloppua. Pian he kuitenkin kaivavat nahkalaukuistaan lappusia täyteen sullotut kalenterinsa ja tutkivat niitä, joten päättelen heidän olevan menossa johonkin hotelliin kokoukseen. Sieluni silmin näen miten tyylikkäästä pukeutuneet miehet ja naiset pitävät tärkeää kokousta hienon hotellin kokoustilassa.

Joku astuu liukuportaisiin olallaan jumppakassi, ilmeisestikin matkalla yläkerrassa olevalle salille. Joku puhuu puhelimeen ja joku ostaa junalippua. Jotkut kiiruhtavat kasseineen ulos kun kaiuttimista kuuluu ääni: ''Hyvät matkustajat! Pikavuoro. Määränpäänä. Ylivieska. Lähtee kello. Neljätoista. Kaksikymmentäviisi. Laiturilta. Neljä. Hyvää matkaa!. Besta....'', pitäen dramaattisen tauon melkein joka sanan jälkeen. Hipin näköinen väsynyt nuori mies löntystää ohitseni ja istahtaa viereiselle penkille.

Kuulen kuinka pullo sihahtaa ja haistan energiajuoman tutun tuoksun. Samalla näen kahden nuoren miehen tulevan sisään yhä hieman horjahdellen edellisen yön juhlinnan jälkeisessä laskuhumalassa. Tuoksu ja nuo nuoret miehet tuovat mieleeni ne päivät kun ystäviemme kanssa tanssimme hämyisessä yökerhossa ja nauroimme. Ainoina huolinamme pitääkö joku söpö poika meistä ja milloin pitäisi alkaa lukea tuleviin kokeisiin.

Kello on puoli kolme ja huomaan bussini tulleen laiturille numero 3, samalle josta se aina lähtee. Nousen hitaasti ylös ja palaan maan pinnalle, tunnen miten laattalattia on kova jalkojeni alla. Lähden jatkamaan matkaa kohti kotia ja arkirutiineja. Ajattelen pientä prinsessaani joka odottaa päiväkodissa ja sydämeni on pakahtua rakkaudesta. Mutta en myöskään voi olla tuntematta sitä yksinäisyyden mukanaan tuomaa surua, joka siellä velloo, sekä sitä pelkoa, uskallanko koskaan antaa kenenkään täyttää sitä.
