I just got another reason to think about quitting MS. It's not that I'm really pissed off this time, but that I don't like some things that are considered normal there..
I just got an e-mail from one of the correctors (yeah, the one who made the grammar mistakes in my article and, by the way, made some new in another article) with some little pieces of technical advice. OK, I accept that. But after that I went throught the article again (btw. 'news' piece published 5 days after being submitted- is there any point of publishing it any more then?) and found out that he had also changed the structure of the article. Not even that would be such a problem, but what I don't like is that he made absolutely unnecessary changes and with them the article looks weird. Not regarding the fact that I don't like the style he made it into at all.

I keep complaining here without having the guts to say it to them. Probably because I'm still a newbie there. Basically I'm just waiting for my mind to let me know what to do- to quit or not to quit?

Yeah. For two days I was waiting for the correction of my articles in the end to find out that the corrector has made extra grammar mistakes into it.. Woohoo.

OK, when I was happy about having been taken in the musicserver redaction, little did I know that it will only piss me off. A) WHERE the f*ck the correctors are?! I had the impression that there are people who actually HAVE TIME to do the job!! News should be posted as soon as possible, not days after, just because no-one cares. B) what's the point of the correction if the second person even makes mistakes in your article?? Now, shall I be rather glad that no-one gives a sh*t about my work, because no-one will spoil it?

The boss apparently hasn't been online to respond about my interviews. If he refuses the offer even if I don't ask for money, I'm most likely really to leave the website. No-one gives a sh*t about my work, my ideas or my oppinion, so why would I waste time with that..

Really, these two short articles I posted yesterday are their last chance. If they don't care about my work, they won't get it. As simple as that.

I can tell you I get pissed off by people who judge bands by the country of their origin and magazines that write about them, basically without much caring about music. Several 'finofiles' I know about would deserve a BIG slap. To let them know how stupid they are. Seriously, human stupidity has no limits..

Seriously I'm so f*cking pissed off that I'm feeling like going back to the Czech rep. and kick my boss's ass. Such an idiotic limited moron I've never seen!!

To explain:
I've sent an e-mail to my boss that I would do interviews with Negative, TAP, Renoise and Heijaste, as all of these bands are planing to play in Prague in the spring. The answer:
'Never heard of the bands and I don't think I'd be interested in interviews with them..'
WHAT THE F*CK!?!?!?!? Does he call himself a professional?!?!?!
Never mind he's never heard of the bands, no-one knows everything, but hell, even on this website there's an article about NGT's gig in Prague! He must have read it!! Never mind, everyone can forget, but for Christ's sake, that he hasn't heard of them doesn't mean that no-one knows them!! What for a music journalist will refuse to let someone of his team write about new interesting bands who are starting international careers!!
Jesus, I'm just about to burst into tears of rage..

How low am I going when I offer to work for such idiots even without asking for money.. :'((
The one and only excuse and reason for that is that I'm doing it for the bands, not for the boss.
And I'm gonna do the interviews anyway, no matter if they are put up on a 'professional and serious' music website, or just running on blogs.

Alright, another polite e-mail has been sent. At this point I have nothing to lose. Depending on the reaction I will see my future at musicserver. At the moment I'm considering leaving it in the near future.

I'm sorry for all the swearing, but I'm pissed off as much as I haven't been for a very long time :-(
