So humanity lost. Now what?Perjantai 18.03.2016 00:52

Pitäisiköhän joskus kasvaa aikuiseksi? Ei vaan erityisemmin ole koskaan huvittanut. Toisaalta... miksi vaivautua. Ei kai siitä mitään iloa ole, päinvastoin.

-He who jumps into the void owes no explanation to those who stand and watch.

-I mistrust all systematizers and avoid them. The will to a system is a lack of integrity.

...then I will have to mistrust many a friend, but at least I won't have to mistrust myself.

-Having just enough life to enjoy being dead.

...you wish.

-In the quantum multiverse, every choice, every decision you've ever and never made exists in an unimaginably vast ensemble of parallel universes.

...or does it?

-This is the world, he thought. And I am in it.

...yeah, could be worse, maybe.

-New mysteries. New day. Fresh doughnuts.

-Existence is tedious, anyway.

...yes it is, no problem.
Either I will find a way, or I will make one.

Motivation will almost always beat mere talent.

You just can't beat the person who never gives up.

The most effective way to do it, is to do it.
Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow.

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.

I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.

I have found out that there ain't no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.
You need to know it's your actions that will make you a good person, not desire.

But he did not understand the price. Mortals never do. They only see the prize, their heart's desire, their dream... But the price of getting what you want, is getting what you once wanted.

If you don't get everything you want, think of the things you don't get that you don't want.

Men go to far greater lengths to avoid what they fear than to obtain what they desire.
"People were always getting ready for tomorrow. I didn't believe in that. Tomorrow wasn't getting ready for them. It didn't even know they were there."

"Why didn't I learn to treat everything like it was the last time. My greatest regret was how much I believed in the future."

"People are all over the world telling their one dramatic story and how their life has turned into getting over this one event. Now their lives are more about the past than their future."

"The present is theirs; the future, for which I really worked, is mine."

"I am a drifter, and as lonely as that can be, it is also remarkably freeing. I will never define myself in terms of anyone else. I will never feel the pressure of peers or the burden of parental expectation. I can view everyone as pieces of a whole, and focus on the whole, not the pieces. I have learned to observe, far better than most people observe. I am not blinded by the past or motivated by the future. I focus on the present because that is where I am destined to live."

"And I realized that there's a big difference between deciding to leave and knowing where to go."
Vote for the man who promises least; he'll be the least disappointing.

Ninety percent of the politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation.

One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.

I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts.

In politics stupidity is not a handicap.
"The point is there ain't no point."

"Nothing exists; even if something exists, nothing can be known about it; and even if something can be known about it, knowledge about it can't be communicated to others."

"It is intoxicating joy for the sufferer to look away from his suffering and to forget himself."

"Do as you will, for there is nothing to be done."

"Nihilism, there's really nothing to it."

"But when justice is done the world drops away."
The best luck of all is the luck you make for yourself.

You gotta try your luck at least once a day, because you could be going around lucky all day and not even know it.

Luck is believing you're lucky.

Luck is great, but most of life is hard work.

Everything in life is luck.
"Don't spend time beating on a wall, hoping to transform it into a door."

"Tough times never last, but tough people do."

"Patience and time do more than strength or passion."

"I must govern the clock, not be governed by it."

"Time does not change us. It just unfolds us."

"Everything that has existed, lingers in the Eternity."
"The secret of the greatest fruitfulness and the greatest enjoyment of existence is: to live dangerously!"

"Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies."

"It is the stillest words that bring the storm."

"I shall repeat a hundred times; we really ought to free ourselves from the seduction of words!"

"Whoever despises himself still respects himself as one who despises."
