Sattumanvaraisuus on harha jonka ihmismieli luo kun ei pysty näkemään asioiden yhteyksiä.
En usko että ihminen koskaan pystyykään pääsemään eroon tuosta harhasta kokonaan, mutta olemme tottumaat hyväksymään vain ne kaikkein yleisimmät käsitykset.
Meidän hallussamme on kuitenkin suunta mistä lähdemme hakemaan näitä käsityksiä. Tuon suunnan määrittelee meidän moraaliset arvomme.
Voimmeko sitten korjata moraaliamme vai onko se opetettu, on sitten kokonaan toinen kysymys.

Tällaisten assosiaatiovirtojen keskeltä löydämme itsemme. Ne moraaliset arvot joiden kautta reagoimme ympäristöömme määrittelee identiteettimme. Yleisesti keskitymme peilaamiseen toisten ihmisten kautta. Oma kokemuksemme tilanteesta toimii välittäjä muiden reagoimiseen toiminnallaan, joka myöskin on rakennettu omista arvoista. Olemme sosiaalisessa tilanteessa moraalisten arvojemme mukaan vääristyviä peilejä, jotka heijastavat toisiaan.
