i decided it's time for all-english again. don't like, don't eat; no one's forcing you. i happen to like english and it eases my mind.

so i'm here around the waist of miss finland and it actually did snow a bit today. so the x-mas won't be all black. you know, i just realized couple of weeks ago why english-speaking people have been changing 'christmas' into 'x-mas' recently. and of course i felt like an idiot figuring it out just now. i guess that shows how deep the conspiracy goes.

but enough of my stupidness. i've been having nice time here so far and tomorrow's the oh so waited x-mas eve. only black spot in this cookieness is the fact that the battery of the remote of the DVD-player ran out and the machine won't work properly without it. and of course the damned remote won't accept AA-batteries or even AAA-style; no, it has to be the little round thin ones, what bloody hell ever they are called. those which resemble a button. and if i want to be able to see my x-mas present movies rightaway (no, i can't know for sure what i get but mom's not stupid enough not to get me the movies i asked for. she knows i can get pretty serious with them), i'll have to pray that mom and her husband find an open store that sells the right batteries tomorrow when they go visit his parents.

i really am spoiled, aren't i? now i hate myself. but it's probably because i'm feeling feverish and my stomach and lower back are trying to kill me. if i ever hear a man telling me to my face how easy it is to be a woman, i'm gonna kick him on the nuts. hard.

so much for the peaceful atmosphere of x-mas; but i'll feel better tomorrow. although i'm a bit worried; i've been reading a lot and i only have one book left to read. and i won't be home until wednesday the third... so i guess i might get a bit bored. it might be good, though; maybe i'll be able to concentrate on starting a new story like i promised. it won't be easy this time and i'd better give it lotsa effort.

but now, i'll get started on the last book. the first part of Deptford Mice trilogy. gosh i love those books but unfortunately i only found the first and last part from library and couldn't borrow them all. oh well.
